I still have 10 opeaula in my habitat and they they all look healthy and it looks like they are all eating. I can tell they are healthy because they are swimming around. Now there is finally algae in my habitat. I have been trying to feed them once a day but once in a while I forget. My shrimp are all red but not super red. My opeaula get sun light from behind a thin curtain. I do not have any eggs yet but i am sure I will have soon.
My opeaula habitat has gotten better because now there is a thin cote of algae growing on the rock but no algae on glass. I think I still have 10 shrimp they all look healthy. I am feeding them every other day. Most of the opeaula are just eating the algae and about 3 are eating the man made food.
My opea'ula habitat is going good. I still have 10 shrimp. One of then molted and they are all active. There is no algae yet but I'm sure I will have algae soon. Thire
Today we learned how to take care of our opea'ula. First, we learned that you can only feed the tip of a tooth pick with no mound. And when you feed you can not get the tooth pick wet so just tap it on the side of the habitat. The opea'ula eat spirulina. Next, there needs to be half an inch so air can come in. To replace water pure fresh water in a cup and put it next to your habitat. Finally, the #1 rule is to NEVER put or let mold get in your habitat because that would kill all of the opea'ula.
Today we put our shrimp in our habitat. So first we finish up our imovie on how to make a opea' ula habitat. Then we made our cover for our opea' ula habitat. The cover had to have foam on the sides so that no water could come out. there also had to be hols in it so that air could come in. Finally, we put our opea' ula in because it was all ready for shrimp. So I had 5 shrimp tickets but there was a 5 shrimp starting pack. So I got 10 shrimp in my habitat and now it is all ready to be looked at.
Today we put our plant into our habitat. First, we made an i movie on how to make an opea' ula habitat. Then, we went outside to put our plant in our habitat. So first we had to choose a plant I chose the short plant because it looked nicer. After that we had to choose ware we wanted it I put mine in the back. It came out not bad. Finally we put our voice over on our imoive
Today we chose our rock for our Opae' ula habitat so that it could grow algae. The choices were one big rock or 2 small rocks. Then we made the brackish water for the habitat. The Opea' ula water gravity is 1.006. And we measured it with with the hydrometer. Finally we purred the brackish water in our habitat. And this time I didn't drop my glass container.
