Today we put the opae'ula in its habitat. I got 8 opae`ula shrimp. Later we made covers for the habitat. Ms. On drilled a hole for me and the hole is used for the opae`ula to breathe. I have a artificial plant, a rock, gravel, and saltwater.
Today we had to make a a artificial plant. I had a big rock so i put two plants. The plants was about one inch. I love how it looks right now! The habitat is a good place to hide. I hope i can find the opae`ula.
Today my group washed the gravel. we had to do five table spoons of gravel. We washed it because we did`nt want our jars to get dirty. My group members are Isla and Kara. I had lots of fun!
Today Isla and I made the brackish water with the hydrometer. Kara left early. she left at 10:45. in the habitat we used rocks, bacteria, and half salt water and half fresh water. the fresh water is 1.000 same with the salt water. my rock did not fit. I had fun! the opeaula are eating. they are from the big island. there are 1,000 opeaula shrimp!! I hope I get 5 of them! they eat algae. they only live in salt water. they walk on the bottom of water. they live on rocks. The adults are one centimeter.
