Feeding and taking care of the shrimp was the most important thing that I had to know. We have to feed the opae`ula spirulina. Spirulina is basically dried algae and it is a small thin powder that we can use to feed the opae`ula. We all got toothpicks and we had to use those toothpicks to scoop out a very tiny amount daily. To take care of the shrimp, we have to put it in a shady place because if we keep it in a place that has direct sunlight, the water will heat up and the shrimp will die. The tank will also grow some algae because of the florescent light in our homes. The algae will most likely be brown because the green algae is from sunlight. We have to fill the tanks if the water evaporates because the salt will just stay and water will evaporate so we have to add room temperature water if the tank water evaporates.
